Boscaini Carlo

Azienda Agricola Boscaini Carlo nestles in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in the charming village of Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella on the western edge of this prestigious Veronese denomination. Its winemaking story began around 70 years ago, when founder Carlo Boscaini—whose name graces the estate—started with rented land, purchasing it in 1948 alongside his son Arturo Ernesto. Living to the remarkable age of 102, Carlo instilled a profound passion for the vines and quality wine production—principles that his grandsons Carlo and Mario now champion with fresh enthusiasm.

The 15 hectares of vineyards were entirely replanted in the early 1990s and are now at peak productive maturity. This renewal strikes a perfect balance between tradition and innovation: modern techniques minimise chemical use, embracing integrated viticulture, hand-harvesting, and exclusively estate-grown grapes. Guided by strong entrepreneurial vision, the company’s philosophy pursues excellence, celebrating Valpolicella’s renowned terroir—one of Italy’s most esteemed wine regions—while staying true to the denomination’s traditional varieties.

Annual production stands at around 60,000 bottles, featuring iconic wines such as Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore, Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG. This robust portfolio, inextricably linked to its origins, honours the founder’s legacy and a commitment to authentic, high-calibre winemaking.
