Vivaldi was born in the late 1980s as an ambitious dream among the mountains, on the Meltina plateau: a natural terrace suspended at 1,200 metres between Val Sarentino and Val Passiria, in the province of Bolzano, home to Europe’s highest winery.
In this remote corner of Alto Adige, far from major sparkling wine districts, natural temperature swings foster slow, generous seasons. Sunny days ripen the grapes gently, while cool nights preserve pristine aromas and untouched minerality. Crystal-clear mountain air, enriched by alpine breezes, safeguards heroic vineyards – steep, sun-drenched slopes where Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and indigenous varieties reach their peak expression.
Under the passionate vision of Wolfgang Tratter, Vivaldi has turned altitude into its signature trait, converting the land’s challenges into unique excellence. Each Alto Adige classic method sparkling wine stems from meticulously selected mountain grapes, expertly fermented and aged for at least 24 months on lees in bottle, followed by traditional hand disgorging.
The result? Bubbles with an exquisite, persistent perlage; crisp aromas of ripe fruit, white flowers, and volcanic mineral notes; vibrant freshness and harmonious structure. They evoke the mountain’s rhythmic energy, blending classical harmony with a contemporary twist.
