Bourgogne de Vigne en Verre was created in 1981 on the initiative of winegrowers wishing to optimise the commercial and logistics of their estates. The entire sales force is shared. This makes us stronger and gives us greater leverage than we would have alone. As an example, when we receive a request for information about Pouilly Fuissé from Domaine Morat, Domaine Georges Lignier also benefits from this contact. Professionals have access to the entire collection of domains.

Mâcons are lovely wines that are very approachable: they are accessible because of their very easy-going style, always fruity, but also because of their very attractive prices. It’s a real bargain!

The climats in Burgundy are a bit like the crus in other regions: they help you understand the precise origin and style of the wine. If you want to discover an appellation, then go for a Village appellation which will generally be a perfect snapshot. If you want to understand what a ‘terroir’ or climat is, then try a 1er Cru.

I climats in Borgogna sono un po’ come i cru in altre regioni: aiutano a comprendere l’origine precisa e lo stile del vino. Se si vuole scoprire un’appellazione, allora è meglio scegliere una Village, che generalmente rappresenta una fotografia perfetta dello stile. Se invece si vuole capire davvero cosa sia un terroir o un climat, allora bisogna provare un 1er Cru.

Many BVV project wines stand out for mineral precision and freshness. Which contemporary food pairings do you consider most effective for expressing these characteristics?

Molti vini del progetto BVV si distinguono per precisione minerale e freschezza. Quali abbinamenti gastronomici contemporanei ritiene più efficaci per esprimere queste caratteristiche?

When we talk about freshness and minerality, we immediately think of white wine. But Domaine Lignier produces red wines of remarkable freshness, and I have a very clear memory dating back a little over five years, to the beginning of our partnership with Philarmonica. We had finished a day of client visits with Philarmonica’s agent, and our last appointment was at a rather sophisticated sushi restaurant in Cittadella: here we had wonderful sushi accompanied by a 2017 Gevrey Chambertin from Domaine Georges Lignier. A surprising but almost perfect pairing!

Quando si parla di freschezza e mineralità si pensa subito ai vini bianchi. Tuttavia il Domaine Lignier produce vini rossi di straordinaria freschezza e ho un ricordo molto preciso che risale a poco più di cinque anni fa, all’inizio della nostra collaborazione con Philarmonica. Avevamo concluso una giornata di visite ai clienti con l’agente Philarmonica e il nostro ultimo appuntamento era in un ristorante di sushi piuttosto raffinato a Cittadella: qui abbiamo mangiato un eccellente sushi accompagnato da un Gevrey-Chambertin 2017 del Domaine Georges Lignier. Un abbinamento sorprendente ma quasi perfetto!

It’s very simple: we offer customers access to all Burgundy appellations through a single contact. This saves a considerable amount of time and money. We have made Burgundy easier!

This year, Benoit Stehly, owner, winegrower and winemaker at Domaine Georges Lignier, will be present to showcase exceptional wines from three legendary terroirs from Côte de Nuits : Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny. I would advise Philarmonica’s clients and agents not to miss this opportunity to talk to a real grower, a man of the earth, a man who is in his vines almost every day of the year.
